6th Annual Wolf Pack Run 

Friday, September 27, 2024 (rain date: Friday, October 4, 2024)

The Winding Creek PTO is excited to announce that our 6th annual Wolf Pack Run will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024 (rain date October 4, 2024). This is our first and most important fundraiser for the year. All students will participate to raise funds while creating memories focused on fitness, fun, and Winding Creek wolf pack spirit!

Run 101: Everything You Need to Know...and MORE!
 

1. Please help your child by collecting addresses of family, friends, neighbors, dentists, doctors, or anyone that may be interested in sponsoring your child’s run. We are requesting as many addresses as possible (please, please, PLEASE!), but a minimum of 5 per family.   

We would appreciate you sharing the link with family, friends, and loved ones as well. We can't do this without your help! A big thank you to those families who have already donated!

2. Handwrite addresses on the attached mailers. If you need more than the 5 mailers provided, please use the e-mail address listed below to request more. These addresses will remain confidential and will NOT be used for any other purpose than this single Wolf Pack Run mailing. Under the name of the potential sponsor, please write the name by which your child refers to them.

Example:  To: John and Mary Smith  

    (Gram and Pap)

3.  Please have your child complete the letter portion of the mailer, including the sponsor’s name and child’s name where indicated. Consider having your child write a personal message in the blank space above their name.

4. In lieu of sending yourself a mailer, please complete the attached parent sponsorship form. Checks can be made payable to Winding Creek Elementary PTO or you can scan the QR Code to make your donation via PayPal.

5. Stamp donations are completely optional, but appreciated to help offset the cost of mailing 4,000+ mailers.

6. Please return your completed mailers and parent sponsorship forms to the school by Friday, August 30th DEADLINE EXTENDED! Please return your mailers and forms by Tuesday, September 3rd! 

7. Please email us if your company is interested in becoming a corporate sponsor: wcwolfpackrun@gmail.com.

8. Volunteer! We will need volunteers to count laps, etc. Information will be sent at a later date for volunteer sign-ups.

9. BE THERE! On September 27th, all students will run or walk around a ¼ mile loop for 30 minutes. Come out and support our students by cheering them on! ALL spectators will need a badge. The schedule and pre-approved badge instructions will be coming soon! Those who don’t have a pre-approved badge will need to check in through the front office before the event. 

10. On the day of the Wolf Pack Run, each child will be “stamped” with a washable stamp each time they complete a lap. After the run, they will be given a freezer pop to celebrate! If you do not want your child to be stamped or have a freezer pop, for whatever reason, please contact the school nurse so that arrangements can be made. Thank you!

Incentives

To spark “Wolf Pack Run Spirit” we will have 2 fun incentives!

1. We’re excited to bring back the PTO Wolfpack Run Drawing! For every 5 completed mailers your family returns to the school, you will receive 1 entry into a drawing for a prize of your choice! Prizes include the following:

• Preferred seating at 5th grade graduation

• Preferred seating at kindergarten graduation

• Preferred seating at the musical

• Preferred parking at the Summer Bash or Dance

• Spirit wear swag
  
  

*10 winners will be chosen at random. In order to enter the drawing, please send in 5 completed mailers AND the PTO Wolfpack Run Drawing form. All entries are due by Friday, August 30. Winners will be notified by email!*

2. If we reach our goal of $23,000, Dr. Runkle and Mrs. Stanford will have to run in a ridiculous inflatable costume of YOUR choice! Here’s how to vote! For every 5 completed mailers your family returns to the school, you can cast your vote on the PTO Wolf Pack Run Drawing form for which costume you want Dr. Runkle and Mrs. Stanford to wear! The costumes with the most votes wins. We can’t wait to see what you choose! Here are the options:

-Ride on Flamingo
-Ride on Rooster
-Ride on Rubber duck
-Ride on Dinosaur
